The dining area and safe haven of bird, squirrel, and chipmunk
The aliveness, vitality, and sweet coziness take hold
It takes every fiber of my being to wrest myself from this refuge
And resume a leisurely stroll down the hill, and up again, and around
Old apple tree’s graceful sweet magic enchant one again and again
And again, will return to breathe the sweet air
